You have six minutes and forty seconds. Ready…set…go! Pecha Kucha Night (“chitchat” in Japanese) is a world-wide event that’s finally making its way to Denver. It’s like open-mike night meets variety show for creative folks of all stripes. But instead of just a microphone, you present twenty PowerPoint slides showcasing your talents, with twenty seconds allotted for each slide. “It’s a great way to keep the presentations open and flowing,” says media contact Jamie Kopke. “You can do anything. We’re pretty set on building the creative community in town so people can see what’s going on across a bunch of different disciplines.”
Tonight, beginning at 8:20 p.m. at Buntport Theater, 717 Lipan Street, experience Denver’s version of this fast-talking global phenomenon. Admission is a suggested $5 donation. To present, or for more information, go to www.pecha-kucha.org/cities/Denver or call 720-946-1388.
