First Aspen Grove snagged the area’s first Alamo Drafthouse. Now it’s getting the Tattered Cover, which will be packing up its Highlands Ranch store and moving to the outdoor shopping center off Santa Fe Drive in Littleton next month. “While we are grateful to have served the Highlands Ranch community in a wonderful location with a great landlord/tenant relationship, we are at the end of a ten-year lease and our need for a store of that size has changed with market conditions,” says Joyce Meskis, owner of the Tattered Cover bookstores. “Fortunately, a marvelous opportunity arose.”

While the Aspen Grove store will have a smaller footprint, it will have the same welcoming ambience, as well as a newsstand, coffee shop, author event space — and plenty of parking. Tattered Cover also has a location in the Lowenstein, as well as the LoDo store and an outlet nearby in Union Station; there are two affiliates at Denver International Airport, as well.

The Tattered Cover will be moving next to Europtics, in the former Coldwater Creek space.
