New Year’s Eve is definitely an adult-oriented holiday, but The Children’s Museum has found the perfect solution — move the celebration from midnight to noon and roll out the bubble wrap for all to enjoy.
Yes, as part of the mini-ball drops (there are six, running hourly from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) on December 31, the museum will be laying down bubble wrap for kids to pop during the glittery celebration.
Storytelling will be woven throughout the day’s programming, as well live music by kid-friendly hip hoppers The Littleague and a final 3 p.m. ball drop with music provided by KBCO. Traveling stations for party hat-making and noisemaker construction will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the museum itself will also be open those hours.
The cost is just $5 for non-members and free for members. For more information go to www.mychildsmuseum.org or call (303) 433-7444.
