You’ll never look at an urban tree in quite the same way after you’ve been on the Fall Tree Walk offered annually on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus by the CU Museum of Natural History. That ‘s because it’s leaf-peeping with a purpose, a serene evening stroll led by an expert, with stops along the way to take in every autumnal shade. The walk includes trees from around the world, as well what’s purported to be Colorado’s oldest cottonwood. But, really, this is just a great excuse to take a beautiful walk in the waning light of dusk, when the golds glow eerily against the purple sky. And it’s free.
Meet at 5 p.m. today on the south side of the museum; the tour repeats at the same time tomorrow. The rest will unfold. Ah.
