The Aspen Grove Santa is a wandering one. Luckily, he’s trailed by gaggle of carolers — dressed like real-life, Disney-like Dickens characters, no less — so he’s easy to track down along the sidewalks of the outdoor shopping and “LifeStyle Center.” I found him taking a break on a bench outside Pottery Barn this past weekend, and Aspen Grove Santa was more than happy to let me take his picture.

Bearing a startling resemblance to the Cherry Creek mall Santa (besides that, yeah, they’re both Santa), Aspen Grove Santa was also in a nice red suit and too wore a real beard, complimented by a big green sack for toys. His carolers also did a killer rendition of “The Christmas Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late)” by Alvin & The Chipmunks, complete with Alvin’s high-pitched hula hoop request.
I should also mention that when Santa asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I instantly replied “a husband,” tripping said carolers up and forcing them to start their song over.
