Okay, Tim and Eric fans, you finally have a reason to leave the house. While Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim have five years of public access-style TV craziness under their belts, that wasn’t enough, because now they’re taking their absurdist comedy on the road with the Tim and Eric Awesome Tour, Great Job! Chrimbus Spectacular. Yes, that’s Chrimbus, a holiday commemorating the day Winter Man travels through the forest giving out gifts to anyone keeping their Chrimbus bushes trimmed and wet. Tonight’s live performance will look like a traditional variety show and include parodies, short films, pranks, musicals and sketches. And there will no doubt be plenty of jokes about diarrhea, blood and, ahem, more diarrhea. Kicking the evening off will be Tim and Eric’s earnest rock band, Pusswhip Banggang, and comedian/musician Neil Hamburger.
The show starts at 8 p.m. at the Ogden Theatre, 935 East Colfax Avenue; tickets are $25. Find more information at www.ogdentheatre.net or call 303-832-1874.
Tue., Nov. 9, 8 p.m., 2010
Will you step up to support Westword this year?
At Westword, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $22,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $50,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of Westword, now’s the time to give back.
