I used to be addicted to coffee, but these days, tea is what gets me going in the morning, keeps me going in the afternoon and settles me down in the evening. It’s tasty, it’s comforting, and it’s packed with antioxidants. And today and tomorrow at the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse, 1770 13th Street in Boulder, the Rocky Mountain Tea Festival will offer workshops on everything you could possibly want to learn about the beverage.

The festival kicks off today at 9 a.m. with a seminar on cooking with tea; there will also be basic tea classes as well as cultural workshops (tea history and tea ceremony) and events centering around specific types of tea (such as today’s 3 p.m. Rainbow of Green workshop covering green teas of China, Korea and Japan). And tonight’s tea dinner is bound to be delicious, so hurry and sign up for your favorites (don’t forget the Teddy Bear Tea Party for kids!) by calling 303-442-4993. Visit www.boulderteahouse.com/teafest.html for a full schedule of activities.
