There’s something about Benjamin Franklin that never seems to make it into school textbooks. Although there’s extensive coverage of his experiments with electricity and his landmark diplomacy, those accounts always seem to leave out Franklin’s reputation as a bit of a colonial bad boy.

In the spirit of full disclosure (and just plain fun), the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 Colorado Boulevard, celebrates the devious side of the founding father who wrote such essays as “On Choosing a Mistress” at tonight’s Adult Night in the Benjamin Franklin Exhibit. Those 21 and over can check out the ongoing exhibit, Benjamin Franklin: In Search of a Better World, imbibe in some adult beverages and learn a thing or two about the randy revolutionary.

That party runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for members, $15 for non-members; reservations can be made at 303-322-7009.
Thu., July 26, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
