Today’s time-wasting video comes all the way from Australia’s Melbourne Museum, where they celebrated the premiere of Tron: Legacy with an interactive “extreme 3-D” projection-mapped halfpipe presented by ENESS and dared to ask the timeless question: What if the dudes in Tron were more into riding skateboards than racing crotch rockets and playing Frisbee?
ENESS (tagline: “Electronic Miracles”) specializes in large-scale interactive exhibits and was also behind the recent Red Bull “Off The Planet” snowboarding project (see below). For the Tron tribute they traced each skateboarders’ path across the ramp and measured air time, slams, and other variables to trigger the graphics. Result: awesomeness.

Will you step up to support Westword this year?
At Westword, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $20,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $50,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of Westword, now’s the time to give back.
