Tsigereda Gugia has been designing since she was a seven-year-old girl in Ethiopia. She moved to the United States for college, and now will showcase her latest designs on Saturday, December 20 at Gazelle Model’s Dress to Impress fashion show and clothing sale at the Cherry Creek Hilton Garden Inn, hosted by Abyssinians Familys and La Rue Fashion Parade.

“This a great chance to see the show and buy exciting designer wear clothing from exotic international textiles,” says Peter Grigg, Gazelle Model’s marketing officer. “This is first time designer Gugia will have her own solo fashion show. We wanted to make Ethiopian fashion more public. If people have an interest in African dresses, then this event is a must. Gugia’s done impressive work. It’s amazing and inspiring.”
The collection is a combination of contemporary and traditional African and Ethiopian designs; select items from the runway will be available for sale.
The fashion show will feature Gazelle Model models, raffle tickets and prizes. Doors open at 7:30 p.m and show starts at 8 p.m.; afterwards, there will be complimentary hors d’oeuvres and refreshments from the Hilton Garden Inn. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
