As this week’s episode of Under the Gunn started, Team Nick was still basking in its surprise win, Mondos’ team was safe, and Anya’s crew was last. The challenge this round was Steam Punk fashion –deconstructed modern Victorian meets Mad Max — and the guest judge, Georgina Chapman, co-founder of Marchesa.

The teams were each given a budget of $300 and two days to create their designs. Because he has been saved twice, Nicholas became the focus for mentor Anya; however, her entire team was under pressure to bring in a win. Natalia put additional pressure on herself when she decided to create a pulley system to lift her skirt; mentor Nick cautioned her on the technical know-how needed with her creation.

The shocks of the evening, though, came when Anya questioned Nicholas on whether the work presented in his portfolio was truly his, and Natalia, down to the last hour, was asked whether she made the right decision on the mechanics for her design.

In the end, the judges again gave team Mondo safe passage. They also offered kudos to Oscar, Shan and Natalia, and had not-so-kind words for Blake, Nicholas and Stephanie. To his surprise, Shan won the challenge with his deconstructed power suit, finally bringing Anya’s team a win.

Oscar, Stephanie and Blake survived the judging to sew another week — and Nicholas was sent home.

Under the Gunn airs locally at 7 p.m. Thursday on Lifetime; Mondo is hosting an Under the Gunn viewing party every week at Beauty Bar.
