Couples gathered at the Denver Clerk & Recorder Atrium on Friday, February 13, for the city’s 14th annual marriage marathon, which usually takes place on Valentine’s Day. This year, Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday, so the city held the event on Friday the 13th, with “Fearlessly in Love” as the theme.
Despite superstitions around the number thirteen being unlucky and Friday the 13th being a scary day, the couples agreed that for them, it was a perfect day to tie the knot.
