Dean Martin loved the charms of the grape, and he laid them out in his lyrics: “I can hear a mandolino/Softly entice/While I raise a glass of vino/Praising your eyes.” And there’s no better place to raise a glass than Bonacquisti Wine Company’s annual Spring Barrel Tasting Party, which takes place today at 6 p.m. Owned by radio-DJ-turned-winemaker Paul Bonacquisti and his wife, Judi, the winery, at 4640 Pecos Street, will tap five barrels of its as-yet-unbottled 2007 vintages: Bella Risa Chardonnay, Moscato Riserva, Colorado Syrah, Vinny No Neck and a zinfandel. These wines, plus a couple of 2006 varieties, will be paired with a six-course meal (including ahi ceviche, prosciutto-wrapped melon and tenderloin carpaccio) prepared by Three Sons Italian Restaurant. Tickets are $58 and include tax, tip and a commemorative wine glass, as well as a discussion of the wines. Music will be provided by Johnny & Anya. Seating is limited; make reservations at 303-477-WINE or http://shop.denverwine.net.

Sat., April 26, 6 p.m., 2008
