The powers-that-be behind Warm Cookies of the Revolution were thinking about the future of jobs when they brainstormed today’s offering, Warm Cookies of the Revolution: Stupid Questions, Stupid Talents. And so, naturally, they started talking about robots. “We’ve done stupid questions and stupid talents before,” notes spokesman Evan Weissman. “And for this one, we wanted to ask the stupid question, ‘Are robots going to fix everything or destroy everything?’ Because those are always the two scenarios we think of when we think about robots.”

So that will be one stupid question, and there will be experts who can talk about the implications of robots in the workforce. “There will be a whole bunch of robots there,” says Weissman, “and a drone, and we’ll have a bunch of app-makers and hands-on things to do. And people can bring their own stupid talents, whether they have their own robot or they just know how to whistle.”

Prepare for robot domination or servitude; it all happens at the McNichols Building, 144 West Colfax Avenue, between 6 and 8 p.m. Admission is free, but please RSVP at warmcookiesoftherevolution.org.

Wed., Nov. 19, 6-8:30 p.m., 2014
