It’s time for those plans to make it out of the group chat and into the tattoo parlor to celebrate Friday the 13th. Traditionally considered “unlucky,” the date comes around once, twice or even three times per year. For 2025, only one Friday the 13th is on the calendar, taking place on June 13.

Whether it be cutting your hair or starting a trip on Friday, many are weary and extra careful of acts that are common in everyday life. However, no one said that getting a tattoo was a bad act.

Inspired by sailors who believed the number thirteen would bring them good fortune, tattoo artists and shops across the country celebrate this phenomenon with one-time offers and promotions. With the 45th anniversary of horror classic Friday the 13th and the release of Friday the 13th: Blood Loss this weekend, this is the perfect time to try something new.

Here are thirteen Denver-area locations offering special one-time deals:

Wicked Heart Art Collective

Specializing in fine line and black and gray realism, the Wicked Heart Art Collective was established in 2020 to unite the Colorado art community through tattoos and piercings. From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., the Littleton studio will host its largest event of the year. From $50 flash tattoos and $35 piercings to a vendor market and opportunities to win prizes, the collective sure knows how to celebrate Friday the 13th in a fun yet local style.

Located in Denver’s prime vintage and thrifting-shopping district, Ritual Tattoo features a wide range of styles and specialities. Although the flash release of designs haven’t been released yet, each tattoo will be $100 and is on a first-come come first-served basis. So, if you have time from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, stop by and explore the range of possibilities.

Marion Street Tattoo

Regarded as “Denver’s friendliest tattoo shop,” Marion Street Tattoo is here for all of your wildest tattoo dreams. Founded by artist Ryan Willard in 2010, the shop is in the City Park neighborhood and takes both appointments and walk-ins. For the special occasion, Marion Street Tattoo is offering $50 tattoos from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., but make sure to be in line by 6 p.m.. Not only will you get a great deal on a tattoo, but the event is a fundraiser for Vivent Health. With anime-inspired flash designs and prices ranging from $50 to $200, make sure you are in line by 9 pm since the event will take place from 10 am to 10 pm.
