Grawlix pilot, Those Who Can't, not picked up by Amazon

Amazon gave the green light to several video series this morning, but Those Who Can't, created by Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy of the Denver-based Grawlix comedy group, wasn't on the list.

Instead, Amazon will go forward with two other comedy pilots, Betas and Alpha House, as well as the children's series Annebots, Creative Galaxy and Tumbleleaf.

A boyish comedy about three inept teachers engaging in shenanigans more childish than those of their troublesome students, the series received strong reviews and plenty of votes from viewers on Amazon's website (which was the method the company used to decide which of their pilots would get picked up), but apparently not enough.

The members of Grawlix are holding off commenting on the announcement until further word is delivered from Amazon. Does this mean Those Who Can't still may have a future? Stay tuned to Westword for more on this story.
