“I’m really pumped to perform with Nikki for this show,” says Cayton-Holland. “We’ve known each other for years, and she’s always hilarious.” Glaser, who appeared on a Sexpot showcase last year and destroyed, is indeed bitingly funny. She’s appeared on Inside Amy Schumer and in the standup concert film Women Who Kill.
While the headliners may take up the most poster space, the real star of this show is beer. The price of admission includes unlimited samples from more than ten breweries. “There’s so many good breweries involved with this that I’m already regretting the early-morning flight I have the next day — as are my seatmates,” Cayton-Holland jokes. “I’ll explain to them that I’m a comedian through a thin layer of craft-saison sweat, and they’ll alternately roll their eyes or pray for me, neither of which will really have any effect.”
Offensively Delicious begins at 6 p.m. this evening at the Oriental Theater, 4335 West 44th Avenue; tickets, $40 in advance and $45 at the door, are available at renegadebrewing.com/events. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the MaxFund no-kill animal shelter.
