In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, the two companies announced the limited-edition product on June 11, promising that each swipe of the balm made of shea butter, beeswax and coconut oil "delivers a burst of refreshing citrus," inspired by Blue Moon's signature garnish.
But why have your beer with a real orange when you could have it with lip balm instead? While drinking too much beer can have dehydrating consequences, at least your lips will stay lush and smooth.
"The Valencia orange is more than a garnish. It's a core part of our identity and what makes a Blue Moon a Blue Moon," offers Courtney Benedict with Molson Coors Beverage Company in a statement. "Through this unexpected partnership with eos, we're giving fans a whole new way to enjoy that iconic citrus taste – no Valencia orange required."
Sipping beer in between slathers of lip balm sounds downright nasty, but maybe Colorado will be a loyal market for the product, since Coors Brewery is based in Golden (fifteen miles outside of Denver) and residents of the typically dry Centennial State know it is imperative to carry around some kind of lip moisturizer at all times.

The limited-edition "Blue Moon x eos Valencia Orange Lip Balm" was released Wednesday, June 11 and is available for purchase online.
Blue Moon
"We're constantly pushing the boundaries of flavor and innovation at eos, and this collaboration with Blue Moon is the perfect example of how we surprise and delight our community," says Soyoung Kang with eos.
Well, they're pushing something. Although the lip balm is Blue Moon inspired, it does not contain any alcohol, just a citrusy flavor housed in an orange sphere to resemble an orange. So, pucker up and crack one open.
