Josh Blue has an uncanny ability to be instantly likable from the moment he grabs the mike, and to remain likable for the duration of his set, even though he doesn’t shy away from challenging subjects as he tosses off hilarious riffs. A pillar of the Denver comedy scene for many years, Blue broke out nationally when he won NBC’s Last Comic Standing in 2006. He’s had a pretty stellar 2014 — he not only performed around the world this year, but he also had a prominent role in the baseball comedy 108 Stitches — and will close it out at the home club where he developed his skills.

“Comedy Works is thrilled to have Josh Blue return for his annual holiday shows, this year at the downtown club,” says Comedy Works publicist Michele Gibson. “If you have not seen Josh perform, here is your chance to share lots of laughter with friends and family during the holiday season.”

Blue will take the stage at Comedy Works, 1226 15th Street, for an all-ages show at 7:30 p.m. and one for the 18-and-over crowd at 9:45 p.m., tonight and tomorrow. There’s an additional show at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $25; visit comedyworks.com or call 303-595-3637 for yours.
