Praise the Lord! When the national tour of The Book of Mormon comes back to the Buell Theatre tomorrow for a three-week run that continues until November 24, it will bring back the ticket lottery that was so popular the first time around.

A limited number of tickets for each performance will be sold through the lottery. Starting two and a half hours before each performance, you can print your name and the number of tickets you'd like (one or two) on a card provided by the theater (only one entry per customer); two hours before curtain, names will be drawn for a limited number of tickets priced at $25 each. Winners must be present, and pay on the spot.

Otherwise, tickets -- if you can get them -- start at $40 and go up, way up, from there.

The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards, features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the Coloradans who created South Park, along with Robert Lopez, co-creator of Avenue Q.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
