When samurai-inspired performance group OdAm fEI mUd takes the stage tonight for a Blood Sucking Feast, there will be blood. Lots of it. Gallons. Were rigging up the warehouse venue to bleed fake blood, explains group founder Daniel Crosier. Its non-toxic, so its not going to irritate you. Its washable, too. He notes that the blood will drip from the roof, with pumps and everything, all night long. All of this gore serves to tell a story of a cycle of tyranny that Crosier says has relevance not just to our present time, but to the universal nature of powers corrupting influence.
Accompanying the bloodletting will be music from the Construct and Pistis Sophia, plus a fetish performance from the delightfully wicked Miss DVour. Doors open at 9 for the 10 p.m. show at GLOB!, 3551 Brighton Boulevard. Admission to the 21-and-up performance is $5, and attendees are encouraged to wear white for maximum blood visibility. Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
