?“The Hill Flea was created as an event to revitalize the University Hill area and bring people together to interact,” explains Joslyn. And to that end, the Flea will host a family-friendly martial-arts session, storytime, belly dancing and live music in partnership with the Boulder International Fringe Festival. You can also play a giant game of Jenga, work on a community mosaic project, and learn about bicycle safety.
For intrepid shoppers, the Hill Flea will have a variety of local and global vendors lined up selling new and gently used items. Among other goods, the Hospice Share & Care Gift Shop will showcase its upcycled inventory, Nomad Vinyl will unfold its traveling record store, and Mundi Treeworks will display handcrafted wood jewelry.
The flea market with a conscience runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. near the intersection of 13th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in Boulder. For more information, visit thehillflea.org.
