But Miles Copeland had music in mind when he created the Bellydance Superstars, a top-of-the-line dance troupe that shimmies into Denver today, touching down at the Sherman Street Event Complex, 1770 Sherman Street, for a workshop/performance combo coordinated by Marrakech, an Evergreen tribal shop and belly-dance studio.
From 1 to 3 p.m., catch Petite Jamilla's Double Veil and Spinning workshop; then, from 3:30 to 5 p.m., Kami Liddle will host a Tribal Fusion workshop, during which she'll help dancers learn complex movements using locks, breaks and waves. The extravaganza concludes with a performance by the Superstars at 7 p.m. Ladies, make sure you're caught up on your birth control.
