Denver-born Blues veteran Sammy Mayfield started playing the blues early in the 1960s. Known for his gravelly voice, this multi-talented guitarist/ singer/ songwriter has performed with great blues luminaries such as Big Joe Turner and Big Mama Thorton. Mayfield hosts his Saturday-afternoon KUVO Jazz show, "All Blues With Sammy Mayfield."
