Number 91: Burrata from Osteria Marco

Frank Bonanno‘s burrata is my favorite dish not just at Osteria Marco, where he handcrafts it, but quite possibly in the entire state. I recently had lunch with Bonanno right after he’d made burrata, and not only did I eat mine — I ate his, too. With no residual guilt. And I would have eaten yours as well, had it been within striking distance. Because it really is that good. Several Denver restaurants have attempted to replicate, even surpass, Bonanno’s unassailable burrata, but their wayward attempts have fallen way short. Christmas is right around the corner, and you know what I want to find under the tree? Right. My address is in the book, and take note: I tip well on delivery.
