No. 98 Mac-and-cheese fries from Jonesy’s EatBar
I dream about these fries. I yearn for them when I find myself sitting somewhere, facing down some other young chef’s daring take on strangled squab in Styrofoam demiglace with a side of abused carrots. When I occasionally find myself drunk with the sun still up and sitting in some bar where the only fries available are from the Sysco bag, fried by some nose-picking dimwit humping the fryer for beer money, I want to call Jonesy’s and see if someone will have mercy on me and make a delivery.
In any list of the best of anything, foodwise, in the city of Denver, Jonesy’s fries should hold a position of honor. Best Donuts? Jonesy’s fries. Best Chinese Food? Jonesy’s fries. Best Vegetarian Dinner? Jonesy’s fries, with extra bacon. And they certainly deserve a slot on our list of 100 favorite plates in Denver.
