This week in Cafe Society, reviewer Gretchen Kurtz visited LowDown Brewery + Kitchen , which offered great beers and surprisingly healthy food to pair with them. President Barack Obama came through town, making stops at Wazee Supper Club and Wynkoop Brewery. We launched a new series called “Yeah, I Ate That,” starting with the famous Doggfather from Moontower Tacos. With the sad passing of Thunderbird Lounge, we updated our list of Denver’s ten best dive bars. And we counted down the ten best rooftops patios in Denver, because it’s July and nothing says summer like enjoying a drink and a view of the city skyline or mountains. Or both…
July is also a big time for openings, with perhaps a record number of spots slated to open in the next few weeks, including several restaurants in Union Station. First up? Stoic & Genuine, which beat the crowds by opening on July 9. And there’s more, much more, to come….
