Next week, EatDenver, a ring of local, independent restaurants, is hosting Harvest Week, a series of themed, multi-course pop-up dinners (and one brunch) that will take place between October 9 and 13 at the GrowHaus, an urban farm located at 4751 York Street.
Last week, we announced a contest, in which we would give away two tickets to a Harvest Week brunch or dinner to one Cafe Society reader who could correctly answer a question pertaining to Harvest Week.
We told you that Paul Reilly, chef/owner of Encore on Colfax, is cooking a box-roasted whole lamb for Harvest Week, and we wanted to know how many pounds that whole lamb weighed. The person who came the closest to the correct number without going over would win the two tickets.
We have a champion.
The correct answer is 56 pounds, which no one hit on the nail, but Sirloin 3 came the closest, guessing 55 pounds.
The bison dinner is sold out, but there are still tickets available to Sunday brunch and the lamb, pork and beef dinners. Tickets are $50 per person (a bargain), and can be purchased online at eatdenver.com/community/overview/harvest-week/.
