Back in 1984, Henry Mann started serving slices of New York-style pizza from a storefront at 1550 California Street. From those humble beginnings, Anthony’s Pizza & Pasta has grown into one of the city’s biggest home-town chains, with thirty outlets spread across the metro area (including the original, still open downtown), serving a menu that’s greatly expanded, too.

And soon, there will be another link in the Anthony’s chain, after a January 21 liquor-license hearing for a location at 3420 West 32nd Avenue .
