The metro area is home to a lot of great burger spots, but only one operates out of a vintage 1978 Airstream trailer parked inside a brewery. Soon, though, the trailer will leave its longtime home: The Mighty Burger is leaving Denver Beer Company’s Arvada outpost on March 29. But that could be good news for burger lovers beyond Arvada.
The Mighty Burger launched in 2017 when Denver Beer Company owners Patrick Crawford and Charlie Berger teamed up with the founders of Lucky Pie Pizza and El Jefe Mexican Restaurant, who created the concept centered on using Colorado-raised, grass-fed beef. The standard burger here is hard to beat for those who love a traditional, straightforward take on the classic: a 1/3-pound patty topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and American cheese on a super-squishy bun, plus a side of fresh-cut fries. And at a time when everything is getting more expensive, it’s still a deal at $12.50.

The mobile kitchen has been a fixture since the day Denver Beer Company opened in Arvada, but as the Mighty Burger says in its closure announcement, posted on Instagram on March 11, “All good things must come to an end.”
The news is just the latest development at Wilding Brands, which was created in 2024 when Denver Beer Company, Stem Ciders and Funkwerks merged. Wilding Brands has continued to grow since, acquiring more businesses in 2025 including Great Divide, Station 26 and Boulder’s Upslope Brewing; the Mighty Burger had operated a second location inside Upslope’s Flatiron Park taproom that recently shut down.
But the Mighty Burger announcement doesn’t make any mention of Wilding Brands. “We have truly loved our time serving the public along side Denver Beer Co. Arvada and Upslope Brewing Boulder,” it says. “It has been a whirlwind of fun and we thank each and every one of our loyal Mighty fans for supporting us as we grew to one of Denver’s top burgers.”
And soon, it seems, Denver will have much easier access to the Mighty Burger, which isn’t going away for good. The closure announcement ends with this teaser: “P.S. lookout for a Mighty opening near you we will be back in service May 2026 in partnership with Lucky Pie Pizza Louisville and also in the heart of Denver….. see ya soon!”
We’ll be hungrily awaiting….
