Bad times make for good deals, as restaurants and bars try to woo customers with great happy-hour deals. For example, at Emilio’s Super Chef, 338 East Colfax Avenue, you can get a “Fiesta Bucket” with five full-size Mexican beers for just $10 bucks from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

That’s a cool deal at a place with a cool history: The owners had run a loncheria before they decided to ditch the truck and took over this corner of Cool-fax — where they uncovered the old Super Chef sign, and decided to add it to Emilio’s.
