A lot went down in the local beer scene in 2025, and there’s more action already in the new year.

In October, Dry Dock Brewing announced that it would be closing its original Aurora tap room, dubbed South Dock, this month. The news came after Dry Dock merged with a big player in the local beer scene, Longmont-based Left Hand Brewing. But the Dry Dock brand isn’t going away. Instead, the team was searching for a new location to open a Dry Dock-branded taproom operated by Left Hand Collective. “We’re hard at work finding the right spot to open in the first half of 2026,” co-founder Michelle Reding shared. “Our goal is to create a Dry Dock–themed brewpub that pairs great beer and elevated food in a craft beer-loving neighborhood.”

Now, we know that neighborhood is Washington Park West. Dry Dock’s Aurora location at 15120 East Hampden Avenue will pour its last beers on January 10. A new German-inspired brewery, ZoiglBräu, is set to move into that space soon.

The new Dry Dock will debut at 1101 South Pearl Street this spring, taking over the former home of Pub on Pearl, which shuttered in August after 35 years in business.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this location and the community that makes it so special,” says Reding. “We’re honored to carry forward the Pub’s legacy with a welcoming atmosphere while incorporating thematic Dry Dock elements that enhance the experience.”

The space is expected to house more than a dozen taps of beers from both Dry Dock and Left Hand craft beers, as well as a full bar and pub food menu. Expect a large outdoor patio, private event areas, TVs, bar games and a stage for regular live music.

“It’s been a natural partnership with Dry Dock from the start,” notes Left Hand founder and CEO Eric Wallace. “They’ve always been rooted in community and hospitality, and that’s something we share at Left Hand. We want this space to feel like home – with the same welcoming spirit you find at Dry Dock’s original location, and our Tasting Room in Longmont and Left Hand RiNo in Denver. It’s about coming together and building community over great beer.”
