The Baker neighborhood is about to get a little sweeter. The building at 713 West Fourth Avenue (between Galapago and Inca streets) that was most recently a laundromat now boasts a banner announcing that Baker Java ‘n Scoops will open soon. Although no details are available, we’ll hazard a guess that the place will specialize in coffee and ice cream.

Fans of caffeine and confections who live in the Baker neighborhood will be pleased; Java ‘n Scoops is just around the corner from Waffle Up, which has been serving Corvus coffee along with sweet and savory waffles since last December.
