$20,000

Gelman’s Restaurant & Bar, at 2911 West 38th Avenue, continues to evolve. What started as a market/deli a few years ago, then turned into a full-service restaurant last year, is now featuring BBQ and bluegrass on weekends.

The action started last night but picks up again this afternoon, when chef Tom Connolly will offer St. Louis-style ribs ($2.75 for two), chicken ($1.50 for leg or thigh), steak tips and ice cold beer (Dale’s Pale Ale, Old Chub, PBR for $2.50). The full brunch menu will be served from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., when the Bluegrass Pick (bring your own instrument) and BBQ begins.
