Luca D’Italia, Frank Bonanno’s Italian restaurant at 711 Grant Street, celebrates six years in the Capitol Hill ‘hood this month with a parade of visiting Colorado chefs, including Mark Fischer, exec at Carbondale’s Six89 and Phat Thai, who joins Bonanno tonight in the kitchen.
The five-course dinner, paired with wines, is $90 per person. A 6:30 p.m. reception starts the night rolling, with dinner following at 7 p.m.; call 303-832-6600 to reserve your spot.
Also marking an anniversary this month — its first — is Jonesy’s EatBar, the gastropub at 400 East 20th Avenue that Jason Sheehan loved, even if he loathes the term “gastropub.” Anyway, Jonesy’s birthday party starts tonight at 5 p.m., with half-price lamb sliders, truffled fries, cheddar cheese fries pelted with bacon or buffalo fries with blue cheese and hot sauce. Wash them all down with $3 cocktails, $2.50 beers and great deals on wines by the glass.
