Brit Richard Taylor decided to rob his local Burger King — but instead of loot, he got a royal pain.
Taylor gained entrance to a closed BK not by brandishing a firearm, but by waving a broom handle. This so spooked an employee that he opened the door, whereupon Taylor grabbed a multi-pack of burger buns, dropped the broom and ran out into the street — where the cops caught him after a short chase.
The hamburglar initially gave a false name and address, but Taylor was ultimately fingered after a fingerprint scan at the station. And earlier this month, he was handed a year-long sentence for his crime. “We welcome the one year prison sentence handed down to him,” he told a reporter.
During his year in the pokey, Sir Richard had better watch his own buns.
