When the plans started forming for Satchel’s on 6th, which opened this weekend at 1710 East Sixth Avenue, one member of the original crew from Satchel’s Market was notably missing — specifically, former chef Jens Patrik Landberg.

Turns out, the Swedish native had his own restaurant up his sleeve. He’s behind Charcoal Restaurant, which is going into the space at 43 West Ninth Avenue recently evacuated by Apple Spice Junction, which is now located on South University Boulevard.

Details on the concept of the restaurant are still vague, but we do know that Charcoal has a liquor-license date with the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses on May 11.
