Despite the week of gray skies and wet sidewalks, the weather held off long enough yesterday for Civic Center Eats to kick off its tenth season of food truck rallies in Civic Center Park. The Civic Center Conservancy, which produces the twice-weekly event,  wanted to get the season started on Tuesday, but the threat of lightning in the area forced them to delay the opening until yesterday — which is still the earliest Civic Center Eats has ever started. If you missed it, lunch will be served every Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. through October 7. Here are a few photos of the food — served from 31 different trucks, trailers and carts — and the people who enjoyed it. For more photos, see our complete slideshow.
