On Friday night, I went to Lincoln’s Road House to see Dear Marsha play its last gig (the frontwomen are moving away, and the band will be no more). The club was packed, and a rumor quickly ran through the crowd that Dan Aykroyd, who was in town for a liquor promotion, would be sitting in with the band.
Sure enough, the original blues brother soon walked in , surrounded by owner Jim Bob’s bouncer-like buddies. He sang lead on a modified version of “Flip, Flop and Fly,” a Blues Brothers classic and then took off — most likely to get some shut eye before his Crystal Head Vodka PR apparances, which included a vodka-bottle signing at Applejack Liquors on Saturday.
