The fifth annual Denver Food & Wine Classic kicks off at 6 p.m. tonight with “Art of the Cocktail and a Movie,” which will pour on the drinks before an outdoor screening of Pressure Cooker, in which documentarians Jennifer Grausman and Mark Becker follow three inner-city culinary students through a citywide cooking competition. Tickets for tonight’s event, which takes place on the Quad on the Auraria Campus, are $29; you can also get an $80 movie/grand-tasting package, which includes signature movies cocktails and movie food.

The Classic continues tomorrow with wine dinners at several restaurants, and culminates on Saturday with the grand tasting that runs from noon to 4 p.m., also on the Auraria Campus. For complete details, go to www.denverfoodandwine.com.
