The Denver International Wine Festival will showcase the largest selection of international and domestic wines of any grand tasting in the Rocky Mountain region, according to its organizers. Over the next three days at the Omni Interlocken Resort, the eleventh annual food-and-wine festival will feature dinners, seminars, tastings, competitions and more; Karen MacNeil, wine educator, wine consultant and author of The Wine Bible, will be honorary host. The festival gets under way at 6:30 p.m. today with a Grand Vintners Dinner at Meritage Restaurant. Tomorrow the festivities continue with the Pairsine Chefs Fine Food & Wine Pairing Competition, which pits ten local chefs against each other as they create twenty culinary pairings with twenty Gold Medal wines from the 2015 Denver International Wine Competition. The festival will wrap up Friday with the Grand Tasting of International Wines from 6 to 9 p.m. Ticket prices vary by event; get all the details at denverwinefest.com.
