A self-proclaimed “stray bar,” the Barker Lounge was a particular pet of animal lovers around town.  It got its start on South Broadway, then moved to Santa Fe Drive four years ago, and its patio was regularly rated as one of the most dog-friendly spots in town. But the Barker Lounge closed last week, and the $1835 square-foot space at 475 Santa Fe  is now advertised for rent in a Craigslist ad:

You can take over the lease for $3375 a month, and “liquor license transfer may be available,” the ad promises. “Serious inquiries only.”

In previous incarnations, this spot was home to the Continental Club, One Eyed Jacks and the NV Lounge.
