The Little Pub Company just got bigger, with the opening of the Doghouse Tavern in the Bear Valley Shopping Center (in the space at the intersection of West Hampden Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard that was formerly Bear Valley Inn). “My brother lives in the Sheridan neighborhood and has been after us to open a pub in that area,” explains Little Pub owner Mark Berzins. “We look forward to filling the void that was left when the BVI closed.”

With Doghouse, Little Pub currently has fourteen watering holes pouring out drinks and food in the metro area, including Wyman’s No. 5, Don’s Club Tavern, the British Bulldog, the Cooler, the Old Man and Salty Rita’s. (Senor Rita’s, located at 5007 East Colfax Avenue, closed early this year).

Like several of the other Little Pub saloons, the Doghhouse Tavern pushes pooches both in decor and policy; patrons are encourage to post photos of their dogs on the walls, and pets are also welcome on the patio.
