The pace of restaurant openings slowed down this week, allowing us to relax and enjoy the finer things that the dining scene has unveiled this summer. Gretchen Kurtz ventured to the land of Milk & Honey, where veteran chef/restaurateur Michael Shiell is bucking the current casual trend with tony ambiance and upscale ingredients like foie gras mousseline and champagne gelée.

Mark Antonation noticed a lack of Oaxacan cuisine in Denver but still managed to find a couple of good mole dishes from other regions of Mexico at Chili Verde and Tarasco’s, both Federal Boulevard favorites. And Linnea Covington gave us a rundown of of the ten best eateries on West 32nd Avenue, from old favorites like the Denver Bread Company to newcomers Blue Pan Pizza and Solitaire.

RESTAURANTS/BARS/VENUES OPENING THIS WEEK*
