Pounding, unrelenting rain caused numerous creeks in Boulder and Larimer counties to flood early this morning, and Boulder, by the looks of the photos streaming in, is under water, prompting officials to close the University of Colorado Boulder campus today and tomorrow — and that’s just the beginning of the closures resulting from the torrential downpour that’s made the streets of Boulder impassable.
“Due to the flooding in Boulder and unsafe road conditions, the team at Frasca Food and Wine, Pizzeria Locale and Caffé have decided to close today,” says Sara Abell, spokeswoman for the three restaurants. “The building has also suffered some leaks, and in order to maintain the safest conditions for staff and customers, all three business will be closed.”
We’ll keep you updated on this situation — and other Boulder Country restaurant closures as we hear about them. In the meantime, stay safe.
