The bar will be screening several movies about water conservation and Arapahoe Basin VP/COO Alan Henceroth, and Snowriders International’s Phil Huffeldt will be speaking about water usage and conservation. Planet Sub is celebrating the holiday today by teaming up with Trees for the Future, and trading sandwiches for trees. For every sandwich the sub shop sells today, it will plant a tree. Last year the shop planted 8,149; this year’s goal is 15,000. For more information, visit planetsub.com.
Upslope Brewing Company is throwing its first annual Get Wild to Save the Wild, today from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Get wild and enjoy a film screening, raffle, giveaways, a photo booth, expedition stories, a traveling photo exhibit featuring photos by Eric Larsen, auctions, plenty of beer and much more. Upslope is donating $1 from every beer sold during the event to Wildland Restoration Volunteers, a non-profit organization that provides an opportunity for people to come together, learn about their natural environment, and take direct action to restore and care for the land.
