A few weeks ago, we reported that Groupon had unveiled a special promotion called Grouspawn, a trust fund for babies born of couples who engaged in intercourse during a Groupon first date. That was rolled out in conjunction with a dating service, presumably so interested parties would have more chance to actually create Grouspawn.
Now, the web-based coupon company is making it even easier to procreate.
On Friday, October 22, Groupon is hosting an official Grouspawn Meetup at Japoix, 975 Lincoln Street, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. And according to the invitation, all Denver singles over age 21 are welcome to partake in drink specials and free edamame while mingling in the spot’s seductive lounge, thereby eliminating the online-dating part of the whole deal and encouraging the young and horny to hit on each other the old-fashioned way.
It’s also likely to be a more effective way to meet a spawning partner than the dating service which, as of this writing, has just 263 members nationally.
