This is National Pancake Day, and IHOP is celebrating by serving up free pancakes. For the tenth year in a row, customers at any IHOP location today will receive a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes; it’s part of an effort to raise awareness and funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children and other charities nationwide. IHOP is asking that guests consider donating at least what they would have paid for the pancakes to the Shriners Hospital; those who make a $5 donation or more will receive a coupon good for $5 off their next visit. And if free pancakes aren’t sweet enough for you, Miss America contestant and Miss Colorado winner Stacey Cook will be flipping flapjacks at the IHOP at 1595 South Colorado Boulevard from 7 to 11 a.m. this morning.
The annual event has raised nearly $20 million for charities since it began a decade ago. This year IHOP hopes to raise $3.5 million for charities. For more information, click here.
