Harvest Week is under way at the GrowHaus, the incredibly cool interactive urban farm/marketplace in north Denver. The series, which is organized by Eat Denver, a group of independent restaurateurs, started with a “Praise the Lard” gospel brunch on Sunday; last night, it was “The Hedonist’s Guide to Tailgating” that scored, with dishes from Biker Jim’s, Pinche Tacos, Jonesy’s EatBar, Phat Thai, Vine Street Pub, Marcos Coal Fired Pizza and Red Star Deli.
Up tonight? A Platte River Luau, a Colorado-style party with grass skirts, ukeleles and a Kahlua Pig Roast. The featured restaurants are Row 14, Barolo Grill, Rioja, The Squeaky Bean and Black Pearl; tickets are $65.
