A few days ago, we got a call from Tom, a reader who was interested in trying Persian food but didn’t know where to find it.
“Is there any restaurant in the metro Denver area serving Persian food?” he asked.
For him, and for others who might have the same question, we have a few suggestions.
There are a few joints in Denver that specialize specifically in Persian cuisine, serving kabobs, pungent Iranian stews over rice and a thick soup called ash:
Shiraz, 9625 East Arapahoe Road
Persian Gourmet, 102 South Broadway
And then there are a few restaurants that are Lebanese and Persian or Middle Eastern, serving a broad sampling of cuisines alongside the Persian food:
House of Kabob, 2246 South Colorado Boulevard
Marrakesh Grill, 2290 South Colorado Boulevard
Damascus Grill, 1399 West Littleton Boulevard
